I’m a little surprised that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is still on at this point, but it’s only gonna happen with some adjustments, of course!
Mayor Bill de Blasio intends to preserve the tradition according to Today:
“I think some is going to be virtual, it might be some small in-person pieces, spread-out pieces. It’s not going to look at all, of course, like what we are used to. But the important thing is the traditions will be kept in some way.”
That’s not wildly clear, but it’s good to know I’ll have something to watch while I’m burning turkey and drinking spiked things. To be fair, I’ve never physically gone to the parade, so I feel like anything virtual will check enough boxes for me.
