The second stimulus package, worth almost 500 billion dollars is expected passed to pass in the House today according to US News. The majority of the money will go towards small businesses, but another bill out there might have more of an impact on you.

A representative from Minnesota has proposed the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act. Just like it sounds, the bill, if approved, would forgive rent and mortgage payments through the pandemic.

It would also set up a relief fund for landlords and mortgage holders per WTHR. A few other reps have signed on to the bill as well.

If approved it would apply retroactively to March 13.
