It’s Kevin…

You probably heard by now that Tom Brady ate a strawberry for the very first time this week. Hard to believe that he had NEVER tasted a strawberry! Has the guy been living under a rock?

Then Deb mentioned that she has NEVER tried beets, and come to think of it, I hadn’t either. So today was our first meeting with the pickled devils, and I was ready to give them a try! Deb, not so much, but I called her a pansy and she caved under pressure.

We both agreed that the beets smelled…decent. Kind of like pickles. Hence, the PICKLED beets label on the jar.

I took the first bite (again, Deb was chicken!) and eventually Deb joined me in our taste-test. I didn’t LOVE the beets, but I wouldn’t turn them away if I was served beets in the future. Deb thought they were sour and was not impressed, while secretly trying to hide her gag reflex. (I got in trouble for not bringing a drink to wash it down.) OOPS!
