When it comes to Country music royalty, there is a short list of people that can truly embody that title, and Loretta Lynn is very much at the top of the list in that company. I can still remember staying with my Grandma and Grandpa and waking up on weekends to the smell of coffee and the sounds of classic country, like Loretta’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter” playing on the radio, and then later watching one of Loretta’s appearances on Hee Haw.

You think about all of her songs like Coal Miner’s Daughter, You Ain’t Woman Enough, Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man with Conway Twitty, and Fist City (to name a few), her award-winning biopic “Coal Miner’s Daughter”, and touring with her sister Crystal Gayle. Despite having to retire from time on the road in May of 2017 due to a stroke.
