We’re sending all the love and good vibes Ashley Monroe’s way. She announced on social media this week that she has been diagnosed with blood cancer and is starting chemotherapy.
According to Taste of Country, doctors originally thought her illness was just anemia. But when her red blood count continued to fall, they performed a biopsy and discovered she had lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma.
Ashley said wrote that she’s “THANKFUL for friends and family who have gathered around me praying and sending flowers and letting me lean on them during this super weird chapter of my life. Thankful for my angel son. Who I am fighting for the most.”
