I love when artists make it big and then turn around and buy something for their parents. That’s what Matt Stell did with some of the money from his royalty checks.

While he was home visiting his mom for the holidays, he presented her with a letter. According to Taste of Country, in the letter he thanked her for being there for him and told her what a huge impact she has been on his life.

He wrapped the whole thing up by saying, “So Merry Christmas. Glad I’m home to celebrate with you. Matt, P.S. I paid off your horse trailer.” Yep, he paid off her horse trailer, which I don’t know the exact cost but it looks like on average they’re around $5-$8k according to a Google search.

What a good son!
