The Billboard Music Awards are happening Wednesday, October 14 and Garth Brooks will be honored with a big award.

Garth is heading to LA to receive the ICON award in person. Some of the past recipients include Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez according to Billboard.

According to the Billboard website, the ICON award “honors the cultural impact of an artist whose extraordinary talent as a creator, writer, and entertainer has stood the test of time.”

Of course, Garth will be performing during the show—he and his band will be doing a medley of their top hits.

Kelly Clarkson is the host and Kane Brown is also one of the performers. The show kicks off at 8 PM.
