It’s 2020 and people are jerks, so of course there’s a new scam going around. This one is happening via text and the goal is to get your personal information.
I actually got two of these texts on Monday, each from a different area code. They said something to the effect of “We found a package from July owed to you…”
Now, normally I would delete this and think nothing of it. But, I actually did have a package in July that didn’t have enough postage so I denied it. Turns out it was from a friend so that immediately popped in my head and I clicked the link.
As it was loading I thought, Jenna you’re dumb. They wouldn’t text you this. I didn’t fill in any info so I’m hoping I’m safe, but I guess we will find out soon.
Learn from me and be smarter. Don’t click the link if you get it. Just delete the text and move on.
