It’s been a year since the death of River Smith, the son of Granger Smith. While he and his wife Amber have spoken about it on social media and YouTube, they’ve yet to do an actual interview.

But, this week the pair talked to TODAY about the tragic accident.

They warned people about the danger with Amber saying, “People will say, ‘Watch your child,’ but it happens so fast. It’s just it’s so fast, and it’s so quiet. It’s not like you see in the movies, splashing around. It’s just silent.”
