Indiana Looking to Begin “Reopening” Early May

In his Thursday address, Governor Holcomb announced the state’s intention to start opening back up Indiana in early May. He clarified that there is no set date at this time but that early May was the goal. This would be a gradual process, so it’s not as simple as “going back to normal.” That’s gonna take more time, but this effort would serve to stimulate our economy.

Holcomb explained that Indiana is strategizing with other Midwestern states: Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

According to WISH, the governors will assess each states ability to reopen the economies by looking at “sustained control rate of new infections and hospitalizations,” testing, and tracking, For a full rundown and timeline of COVID-19 in Indiana, click here!
