While most of us have been hoarding as many products as possible during the coronavirus as possible, a distillery is using their resources to do some good!
According to KPTV in Portland, a distillery in Portland, Oregon called Shine Distillery has been using a byproduct from the distilling process to make hand santizer…and they’re giving it for free!
The first thing that comes out isn’t meant for drinking. But the alcohol content is really high. So even before this, they were using it as a cleaning product to wipe stuff down.
They can’t sell it, because it hasn’t been approved by the authorities who deal with this stuff. But they don’t want to sell it! And it turns out they can give it away for free as long as they don’t make any medical claims about how effective it is.
