I opened a can of worms on Facebook when I asked, are muskmelon and cantaloupe the same thing? Growing up in Indiana, the terms were interchangeable. One listener even told me it was “mussmelon”, not muskmelon (wrong). But then my grandma did call green peppers “mangoes”….

So I asked, and the responses were all over the road. Some said yes, some said no, and some went to Wikipedia to answer the question. No matter your take on the subject….I can’t wait to have some good ‘ole Indiana grown melon this summer. Bring on the green beans and tomatoes too!!
