Saturday Night Gold
Every Saturday from 9 pm to midnight, featuring classic hits from the earliest country recordings up to the early 1990s.
About Steve Rogers:
When I was little, my mom belonged to the Columbia Record club, so we always had new music coming into the house. Dad loved Hank Williams, while mom was crazy about Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Charly Pride. We had a huge console stereo, and mom would stack 4 or 5 albums on there at once and let them play all day.
My two older brothers introduced me to rock and roll with the Beatles and Rolling Stones. High school in the late 1970s took care of me discovering the likes of the Eagles and Bob Seger.
After graduating Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, I spent the next 21 years as a radio and television broadcaster in the U.S. Air Force, providing music for American G.I.'s around the world. When I retired, my wife and I moved back home to be close to family. And Saturday Night Gold has helped me get back in touch with my country roots and incredible listeners, who tune in every week in Indiana and in several other states via streaming.
