I’m making a new start with the New Year. Will U join me?
I’m going to make a New Year’s resolution to live healthier and feel better. And, I want you to join me. I think it’s going to be easier than you think.
Since, I’ve joined the empowerME movement, I’ve made simple changes in the way I eat and move. I cut out the junk food and eat a lot more fruit. Every little bit counts. These small changes add up and make a difference in how I feel.
Did you know that nearly 1 in 3 kids and teens in the U.S. is overweight or obese? That’s a lot of us who are not taking care of our bodies! Being unhealthy isn’t just about the way we look. It causes some serious problems that we can’t see. Over time, it can lead to diseases and problems we definitely don’t want.
My New Year’s Resolution is make a few more changes. empowerME 2:
- eat fruits and veggies with every meal
- drink more water and less soda
- get physically active for 1 hour each day
- get 8 hours of sleep at night
- limit screen time to 2 hours a day
My New Year’s resolution is 2b my best. Eating better and moving more are a part of that. Join me and a million other kids across the country. Join the empowerME movement at www.empowerme2b.org. What’s your resolution for ‘09?
